A laminate architectural shingle line fortified with Malarkey’s unique Flexor™ SBS polymer modified asphalt technology to promote superior granule adhesion and extreme weather protection, including class 4 hail impact resistance. This product line includes the optional Scotchgard™ Algae Resistant Shingle Protector from 3M for added security against algae staining.
Scotchgard™ Protection from 3M
Algae growth on a roof can cause black streaks, which can alter the color of your roof and make it appear aged. Shingles with Scotchgard™ Protector help maintain the aesthetic appearance of your roof by resisting black streaks caused by algae, which may reduce the need to clean your roof. Shingles with Scotchgard™ Protector include a 20-year warranty. Malarkey Legacy® is considered a “50-year” shingle, although shingle manufacturers don’t always list their products as such.
Malarkey RidgeFlex® Hip and Ridge Shingles
RidgeFlex® hip and ridge shingles with Flexor™ polymer modified asphalt technology combine a traditional, low profile appearance with a high-performance UL 2218 Class 4 impact resistance rating. RidgeFlex® is available in complementary shingle color blends in 10″ and 12″ widths with perforated strips to provide easy installation. RidgeFlex® features Scotchgard™ Protector from 3M for added protection against black streaks caused by algae.
