Mt. Elbrus, Russia

The dome is a 22′ / 6.7 M diameter, 3 frequency geodesic dome being erected as a survival shelter 1000 feet below the peak of Mt. Elbrus (over 18,000 feet high) in Southern Russia, near the border of Georgia and just East of the Black Sea. Mt. Elbrus is the highest peak in Europe.

Russian mountain climbers Lina and Nastya model the latest in dome building wear after the crew pre-constructed the 22′ / 6.7-meter diameter dome. The dome will be taken apart and re-constructed up on Mt. Elbrus at 17,400′ / 5300 meters by them and the rest of the crew.
