If you are going to use a concrete basement foundation in a cold climate zone, the best was to build it, is to use insulated concrete forms (ICF). There are many manufacturers of these systems. Your local concrete contractors will usually have a particular brand that each likes to work with. We can detail this in your construction drawings.
