The cupola provides excellent natural ventilation and natural air conditioning. By opening the windows in the cupola and other windows in the riser wall or individual rooms, you have instant air circulation. In most climates from spring until late fall, opening the cupola windows in the evening cools the house down. Later the next morning before the heat of the day starts, you close up the windows and the house will remain cool for the rest of the day.
