The architect Buckminster Fuller perfected the Geodesic Dome in the late 1940s as a new way to build super efficient and comfortable homes. This example of Bucky’s genius is found on a wide, sweeping lot in the Friendly Hills section of Joshua Tree south of Hwy. 62 and near the Park entrance. The views from here are incredible and vast. The ingenious design of the home creates comfortable loft like interior spaces where numerous skylights allow lots of light to penetrate all parts of the home. On the first level, there is a large living/dining great room with kitchen right in the center of the house. The master bedroom and bath is also on this level. A dramatic spiral staircase leads from the living room up to two additional bedrooms , a den/office and an open loft. Let us show you how this unique home will make a perfect vacation house or full time residence.
