Dome raisings usually occur over the weekend and are a great place to learn more about our dome system.

Cyprus - Natassa and Klitos have a beautiful hillside site for their 2 domes; a 36' diameter low profile and a 29' diameter mid profile dome. Both domes have lower floors at grade. The prefabricated lower walls and main floor joist system is up. Both dome shells were put up by mid-October. Work continues on installation of the 23 skylights and then the asphalt shingled roof will be completed. Their contractor, Bernie, a Londoner living in northern Cyprus, had no problems putting up the domes. | Thief River Falls, MN More Info |

The building crew for the 22' diameter survival shelter on the top of Mt. Elbrus at 17,000' has been postponed until Spring / Summer 2010. Too many of the young mountain climbing crew had to go back to school. | Simpsonville, SC More Info |

Debbie and Carl are in the dome raising phase on their 40' diameter high profile dome. He is an energy manager for a university so work is progressing slowly this fall. The dome shell was started around October 1st. Join them as they complete the rest of the dome shell during October weekends. |

Cindy and Maury are planning to build two 40' diam. high-profile domes starting in 2009. They are fabricating all their components. The footings are started and their lower level walls and their main floor concrete floor system will be done using quad-lock insulated building components. Maury is assembling the quad-lock ICF system himself.

Angie and Troy started working on their foundation in Fall of 2008. They spent the Winter fabricating their struts and started construction in the Spring of 2009. They built a 36' diameter high profile dome which is up and they are roofing with the Elastomeric roofing system. The 33' diameter low profile garage dome will be started in the future.

Jerry is building his own struts, panels, risers, etc. He is planning a dome raising this summer, 2009. He is going to use an elastomeric roofing system. Building at an elevation of 9,000 - 10,000 feet above sea level should be interesting.

Max has built his flood proof 2 story "base" on which he constructed his 31' diameter high profile dome. Design details should insure that his dome will be able to take another Katrina-type hurricane, just as two other Natural Spaces domes have done. This dome is coming along nicely. The exterior elastomeric roof coating is complete and the interior work is starting.

Jim's contractor put up his 46' mid profile dome shell with two 1-story extensions and two 2-story extensions in one week. After that, they put up the 29' diam. dome garage in one day. They met their goal to close them in with all windows and doors and shingle them before our Minnesota winter took over in December 2008. The dome interior was sprayed with urethane insulation. Interior work is continuing during the Fall of 2009.

Cameron is building his 40' high-profile dome. He is done cutting struts and panels. Dome raising will be in 2009. Natural Spaces Domes fabricated his wood foundation system, which is now completed. He has been helping his friend Mike build his 60' diameter dome.

Kingsley has started one of the two 49' diam. mid profile domes. He has erected the dome shell and view cupola and is working on other items. Work will continue in 2009. They have decided to make the living quarters in the 2nd floor of this dome, so they can get out of their rental quarters quicker.

Helen and Stephen are in the process of building all their dome components where they now live on Florida. They are working on the foundation. They will be building a 45' diam. low profile dome. The foundation and lower floor will be completed in 2009, with the dome raising in 2010. Stephen also built an interesting mini observatory dome to compliment his future dome home.
